Everest Base Camp Trek 14 Days is doable with proper planning, dedication, and acclimatization. It doesn’t need an advanced level of technical skill to climb. The only difficulty during this trek is its elevation. Altitude sickness at the high elevation can result in serious problems for beginners. So, proper acclimatization with preventive measures will help in completing this trek. Keep the walking pace slow and stay hydrated drinking 4-5 liters of water in a day.

Tour Plan

When you arrive at Kathmandu airport, our staff will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Later on in the evening, we will have a trip discussion and introduction to our guide.

Your trip starts with a morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. It takes around 30-45 minutes to reach Lukla. From Lukla, you will start your trek to Phakding following the trail of the Dudh Koshi River. Overnight stay at Phakding.

After having breakfast, we trek towards Namche Bazaar. The trail passes through pine forests and crosses the Dudh Koshi River again we arrive at Monjo. Likewise, crossing the suspension bridges and walking upwards through a steep trail we arrive at Namche. Namche is the biggest Sherpa village in the Everest Region. Overnight stay at Namche.

Today is a rest day or exploration day around Namche Bazaar. You can just walk around the Namche Bazaar or hike to Khumjung village. A hike to Khumjung is an ideal option to acclimatize your body. Also, you can visit Hillary's school and monasteries. Overnight stay at Namche.

The day begins with a gentle walk to Phunki. Then, we ascend towards Tengboche Village. Tengboche is famous for its Largent Monastery in the Khumbu Region. Moreover, you can also see beautiful views of Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, and Lhotse from here. Overnight stay at Tengboche.

We start the day by descending through the forest of rhododendron trees. The trek continues through Imja Khole to arrive at Pangboche. Following the trail of Imja Khola and Lobuche River, we ascend towards Dingboche. Overnight stay at Dingboche.

Another acclimatization day helps your body adapt to the weather and climate above 4000 meters. Today, you can just hike around and visit Dingboche Monastery. Besides that, you can also hike to Nangkhastshang Peak. Overnight stay at Dingboche.

After having breakfast, we start the trek enjoying the views of Taboche and Cholaste. Likewise, crossing the Yak pasture we arrive at Dugla. Next, climbing a steep trail we reach the moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. You can find many memorial statues of the climbers who lost their souls. Trek continues through the valley and ascending for an hour, we reach Lobuche. Overnight stay at Lobuche.

We will have a long day of trekking today, so be prepared yourself. Following the trail of rocky paths along the Khumbu moraine, we head towards Gorakshep. We stop at Gorakshep and leave our luggage in the tea house. Then, we continue our trip to Everest Base Camp. Hike to EBC is the most challenging part but yet rewarding views of the highest mountains in the world await us. After enjoying the moments in EBC we return to Gorakshep to stay overnight.

We wake up early in the morning to reach Kalapathhar. The hike to Kalapthhar offers you sunrise views over Mt. Everest and other towering peaks. The vantage point allows you to witness outstanding views of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and other peaks. After admiring the views, we return Gorakshep and trek to Pheriche.

Leaving Pheriche, we descend the trail through Rhododendron and Juniper forests. It also allows you to see some Himalayan wildlife. With several ups and downs, we retrace back the trail we hiked before and reach Namche Bazaar.

This is our last walking day in the Himalayas. We trek down from Namche following the trail along the Dudh Koshi River. Likewise, crossing several suspension bridges, monasteries, and villages we arrive at Lukla. You can take much-needed rest and even do a small celebration after completing your trip. Overnight stay at Lukla.

We take an early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu saying goodbye to the mountains for the last time. The flight takes around 45 minutes to reach Kathmandu, so you will have a whole day to rest in Kathmandu. Otherwise, you can also explore Thamel to buy souvenirs for your loved ones.

Our staff will escort you to the International airport to bid farewell to your next destination. You will be dropped to the airport in a private vehicle.

Best time to do Everest Base Camp Trek 14 Days
You can do EBC trek at any period in a year. It depends on how adventurous a trip you want. However, generally autumn and spring season is the best time to embark on EBC Trekking. This season allows you to enjoy the fantastic views of mountains in clear and stable weather. Also, there is less risk of snowfall and rainfall in these two season. It is possible to do it in winter as well but, there is a risk of snowy trails and cold. Likewise, during the monsoon, flight delays and muddy trails can give difficulties in trekking. But, we don’t rule out trekking in Monsoon too.
